For most, there is little time to enjoy the natural outdoors. Inspired by this, interior designer, Nathanael Wong decided to bring nature indoors with his piece titled ‘A Springtime Silhouette’, which won Nippon Paint’s ‘Create Your Moments with Momento’ contest. His piece symbolises an abstract silhouette of a young tree that has gone through its first winter. According to Wong, he chose Nippon Momento Sparkle Silver Monument MS 146 as the base because it brings out the natural elements of his art piece, giving it an attractive and rustic feel. Nippon Paint announced Wong as the winner on 12 July in a dinner gathering at Teeq Restaurant, comprising participating interior designers and industry partners. He walked away with a pair of tickets to the Salone Internazionate del Milan 2014. During the prize giving ceremony, Nippon Paint also launched the Nippon Momento Enhancer Series which is a special line of semi-transparent Nippon Momento Special Effect Paint. The key difference is that no primer is needed. It can be applied immediately as a glaze over any existing wall colour. 1 Calvin Klein WATCHES & JEWELRY HOSTS EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW AND PARTY AT BASELWORLD 2013 BASEL, SWITZERLAND Dreispitzhalle - Friday, 26 April 2013 Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry hosted a special, invitation-only performance by Rita Ora on 26 April at Dreispitzhalle, an industrial event space in Basel, Switzerland. Held during BaselWorld 2013, the world’s largest watch and jewellery fair, the event also featured a preview of the new 2013 Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line. For her exclusive performance, Rita wore a Calvin Klein Collection look, paired with pieces from the new Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line; necklace, ring and earrings from the Undulate range, as well as the dress watch. Event guests also enjoyed a special set by New York City-based DJ Mike Nouveau. Photographer, blogger, and model Hanneli Mustaparta, who is a contributor to Calvin Klein’s official Tumblr blog (calvinklein.tumblr.com), was on hand to cover the event. Popular bloggers Bryan Yambao (pen name ‘Bryanboy’) and Lily Kwong were also in attendance. Mustaparta, Yambao and Kwong were all dressed in Calvin Klein Collection and the latest styles from the Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry line.
